Chime Francis “THE STORY 1”
Iyanya’s Ekaitte loves to dance woke me up that very morning though getting up from my bed wasn’t an easy task for me; I just had to get up. I had an appointment to catch up with at Abuja. I needed to meet Nancy, one of the many friends I had met on Face book.
At the park that morning, it was busy as usual, people where trying to get a bus to their various destinations. Nyanya Park was the only place I deemed it fit to take a bus anytime I was paying Abuja a visit. The weather was cool and dark and the park’s only source of light was headlamps of vehicles and motorists, every person I encountered that day carried a gloomy look on his or her face like something was wrong or something spectacular was going to come up, I was already having pains around my neck, because I had being standing for hours, even though I stood for 10 hours at Star Trek, the queue was a long one and we all wanted to see Abuja again.
I was now sited in the bus close to the drivers sit, because Nyanya park bus drivers where known for reckless driving which had lead many to their untimely death and I didn’t nurse dying in mind because it was not a good day to die.
I had to meet Nancy because it was an opportunity for me to take my career as an emcee/comedian to the next level.
Our bus started moving, then I turned back to bid farewell to Nyanya, my eyes immediately struck with those of a pregnant woman outside the bus, her smiles gave me a relaxed feeling and her beauty was a thing to behold, looking around once more I saw a two years old boy I guess, struggling with his elder sister, on seeing this I remembered the good old days when men where boys, then I turned back, looked at the driver and smiled. Seconds later Nancy called “Chime Francis where are you?”.
Then something happened, BOOM!!! It was an explosion…
